To be fairly honest, this would have been better as a faded color smudge work.
her clothing is now transiting to the sixties, and her stance shows that rigor of feminism that's much more... "raw", for a dearth of a better word. I give her credit that even in the black-and-white, she is a brilliant projection, but its an opinion that I have that she'd look better and much more... pristine, if this work had a faded color smudge instead.
Apart from that, its again a worthwhile and commendable picture that has been taken. Keep it up - its good work.
i like it, man... i think it looks excellent... my only pet peeve is the style of your signature and date - they don't seem to jive with the mood that you're trying to convey. they seem too contemporary for the image portrayed.
classic portrait is exactly what this is. love that hair. love that expression. would make beautiful subject matter for a drawing/painting. plus, i think the textures are applied perfectly. definitely compliments the mood of the composition. wonderful shot man.
Then my work is done I was pushing boundaries, so I can claim victory on that score. I wouldn't go any heavier, and most likely wouldn't even match the heaviness of this one again. Leading up to the acquisition of my wetplate camera, everything is an experiment!
