Working on a slightly tricky area around the tear duct, after working across the top of the image with some of the more demanding tones (requiring more layers of pencil than the bottom half). At this stage, a slow and careful once-over check of the image is necessary, to see how realistic it appears and whether some parts need some attention in that area. Sometimes it's hard to see how realistic a drawing is until it's nearly complete. Some aspects, like reflectivity or consistency of the white of the eye, are hard to spot before they're almost done. Some slightly dark, spotty patches are visible which don't quite have the right density, so those were addressed just before completion.
Heheh Well, not holding back, no. I have an aspiration to reach some goal that's in my mind, but whether I'll ever reach it is another matter. Curse having unrealistic targets!
WOW I had no idea you know how to draw and more than that ... that you are sooo talented!! I just new you are an amazing photographer... wow hehe this is a surprise for me
Yep, my first love was drawing. Had some great times making 'Window to the Soul' (even if the finished piece tends to leave local people unsure of what to think or say about it. Some have intimated that it's a little freaky.... ). Thanks so much for the praise!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
